Red Cedar Book Awards 2023/24
The Red Cedar Book Awards (RCBA) is structured as a young readers' choice award rather than an award juried by adults. Children families, and educators read from the RCBA nominated short-lists, discuss, and then vote in mid-Spring for their favourite books. The RCBA is unique to the province in that it supports both fiction and non-fiction reading. They want kids, families, and educators to be engaged, excited, and educated in and about Canadian books written for kids.
