Elle n’a pas cherché à savoir si les confidences ainsi obtenues étaient totalement véridiques puisque au terme de son enquête, la romancière qu’elle est savait qu’elle tenait toute une suite pour Vengeance. Aussi, prie-t-elle le lecteur de considérer cette lecture telle une fiction.
