After the epic battle of Adobe Walls, Lt. Frank Baldwin and former buffalo hunter Billy Dixon lead a band of Indian and white scouts into Texas to assist the U.S. 5th Infantry combat unruly natives. But as they are drawn into a series of increasingly deadly skirmishes, the fighters come to learn that in Texas, there is no time for peace--only eternal war.
