Introspective artist Ben Lonefeather is content raising the orphaned coyote pups he rescued after their mother was killed on the highway. Meanwhile, New Yorker Sarah Friedman hurries west on a business trip to buy American Indian art for her popular store. When Sarah's car stalls near the reservation, Ben comes to her aid. Offering her a place to stay, if only for a short time, Ben soon finds himself falling into a passionate tryst with Sarah.
