1920s New York gangster escapes to Mexico, dressed as a priest and is drawn into a revolution, people thinking he is a real priest. Known as Padre Pistolero, the Irish-American Tommy Coyne becomes a guerrilla leader, defending the Church against atheist revolutionaries.
