White picks the site of a subway station, on his birthday, to end his life. Black, an ex-con with newfound faith, ends up saving White and bringing him back to his apartment. There the two engage in a debate pitting White's nihilism against Black's spiritual awakening. As the two drain themselves of words, questions arise. What is faith, or life, for that matter? And what does it mean to be saved?
