Through their eyes, Zee sees herself, and that vision changes her. Sometimes Zee is the precocious daughter of her four adults. Sometimes Zee is a teenage thug from Brooklyn, New York, a teenage basketball player who gets into trouble. His four adults worry and test him, but Zee anticipates their fears and outwits them.
