A 3D model of a person coughing in an indoor environment - Audio Description Transcript

Transcript of video description for video: A 3D model of a person coughing in an indoor environment – how an aerosol cloud travels in the air

Text appears:

In the 3d model, a person coughs in a corridor bounded by shelves under representative indoor ventilation air flow conditions.

As a result of coughing, an aerosol cloud travels in the air to the corridor. It takes up to several minutes for the cloud to spread and disperse.

In a supermarket showing 3 aisles, 2 animated figures stand one aisle apart.

The first figure in aisle 1 releases a cloud of particles. It rapidly expands floating upwards into aisle 2 where the second figure resides.

A small portion of the cloud flows into aisle 3, then disappears. The particles then swirl near the ground in aisle 1 until the end of the simulation which has been compressed from 6 minutes to 24 seconds.
