Phyllis Wright-Herman and Tim Mikkelsen started what would become MikWright Limited one night in 1992 when they were perusing an album of old family photographs. The pair began to write funny "captions" for the photos, and by the end of the evening they had planted the seeds for a business. Mikkelsen had copies of the photos made, pasted them onto blank cards and typed the captions inside.
