Kathy Colton's brother, Brett, died of leukemia when he was seventeen and she only two. At age 16 she discovers a journal Brett wrote especially for her. Brett's story is interwoven with her own, as she is mortified to be assigned to tutor her school's popular quarterback, who, even worse, is a Mormon.
