Fiction and autobiography intertwine in an intense, visceral, and caustic novel about the relation between the body, illness, science, and human relationships. Winner of the Sor Juana IneÌs de la Cruz Prize (Mexico), 2012, and of the Anna Seghers Prize (Germany), 2011.
