Staffing Changes at NNELS

Thursday, September 3, 2020

The BC Libraries Co-op and the National Network for Equitable Library Services  (NNELS) are excited to share some big staffing news!

First off, we want to wish Laurie Davidson well as she heads off to work with the Canadian Equitable Library Association (CELA) as their new Executive Director! Laurie was a  long time NNELS Project Manager and Co-op Special Initiatives Coordinator, and it has been an absolute pleasure to work with her on many projects over the years. She will be sincerely missed by her friends and colleagues at the Co-op and NNELS, but we could not be more excited for her! We wish her all the very best in her new role, and we’re looking forward to continuing to build on the excellent collaboration between NNELS and CELA that has developed over the last two years.

We are also delighted to announce that Daniella Levy-Pinto will be entering into a  new, permanent role with NNELS as a Project Coordinator. Daniella has worked with NNELS for over two and a half years on a number of projects focused on advancing the state of accessible publishing in Canada. She will be taking over a number of projects that Laurie has been leading for NNELS, and we are so excited to see initiatives thrive under her leadership.

Please join us in wishing both Laurie and Daniella huge congratulations on their new roles.

Collectively we’re looking forward to advancing access for people in Canada with print disabilities, and these appointments are a meaningful part of this ongoing effort.
