New Addition to Distributed Braille Collection

Monday, February 8, 2021

The National Network for Equitable Library Service is pleased to announce the release of another book that we have worked on as a part of the Braille for New Publications Project. Published by Metonymy Press, Shanice Nicole's Dear Black Girls, illustrated by Kenza Dalz, is a celebratory letter to all black girls, reminding young readers that despite differences, they all deserve to be loved just the way they are.

10 print-braille copies are available through public libraries across Canada through interlibrary loan, or in digital format through the NNELS repository. Access the record in the NNELS collection, here!

This project was made possible thanks in part to support from the Government of Canada’s Social Development and Partnership Program – Disability Component (SDPP-D).
