Returning or Renewing Content

Last updated: April 3, 2023

When one of your loans expires, the book will automatically be returned with no action required on your part. If you’re done with it before that happens, you can choose to return it early. This is useful if you’re close to your maximum number of loans and need to free up the space, and it also allows others who may be waiting for that book to access it sooner. Alternatively, if your loan expires soon and you want more time with the book, you can renew your loan to push back the due date.

To return or renew a book, browse to its title on your shelf and swipe right to the “Manage Loan” button. Double-tap it, and on the following screen, double-tap either “Return Early” or “Renew Loan.” Finally, confirm that the information read to you is correct and double-tap the appropriate button to confirm.

Cancelling a hold follows a very similar process. You double-tap buttons labelled “Cancel Hold” instead of “Manage Loan” or “Return Early,” but the screens are nearly identical otherwise.
