    Summary:

This book sees interculturalism as a process that promotes mutual learning through discussion and dialogue around diverse viewpoints. It presents accepted practice and theory in early learning and care along with cultural perspectives that may challenge or extend them. Educators are encouraged to think deeply about their practice in order to create settings that are truly honouring of difference, whether they are differences of race, gender, religion, ability, family structure or socio-economic status. The book draws heavily from the authors' experiences with an intercultural child care centre and includes many stories and photos from that program. It is also informed by the wisdom of two multicultural groups of advisors who have kindly lent their time to the project.
