Find Books with a Hold

Last updated: April 3, 2023

You can find the books you’ve placed a hold on or borrowed on the “Shelf” tab, second from the right at the bottom of the screen. Double-tap the “Loans” or “Holds” filter links to easily navigate to the book you want.

As you swipe through or explore this screen, you will find all your books and hear information such as when they are due. You can double-tap the buttons to “Manage Your Loans,” Manage Your Holds,” or to open the book to start reading it. You must double-tap “Open in Libby,” “Open Audiobook,” or “Open Magazine” to open your title. Double-tapping the title will open its “Details” screen, not the book itself.

As when searching, you can use the rotor to navigate by headings to browse through your books quickly. This is useful if you borrow many books.

Demonstration. Browsing the loans on the shelf and opening a book.

Try it out: Go to “Your Shelf,” filter for your “Loans,” “Browse” the books you have borrowed and open one.
