No matter how you found a particular book, activating the link containing its title will bring you to its detailed record page. This page contains all the information about the book, including information not displayed when browsing or searching to keep results efficient to browse. As usual, you can use links at the start of the page to jump to the main content, and JAWS users can press “Q” to jump to it. Additionally, the book’s information is contained within the only article element on the page, so JAWS users can press “O” to navigate to it quickly.
Exploring a book’s information, you will find the following:
- The available formats, including information relevant to that format, such as audiobook narrator.
- The book’s author.
- The year the book was added to the NNELS collection.
- The book’s summary.
- A list of the book’s genres, if specified.
- A list of the book’s subjects, if specified.
- The book’s original publisher and year of publication.
- The book’s language.
Each available format contains a link to download the book in that format. Other links throughout the page allow you to search for books based on the details they contain. Activating the link with the author’s name, for example, will search for other books by that author, or clicking on one of the genres will display a list of books matching that genre. As far as I can tell, this is the only way to browse by genre or subject, so you can use these links if you want to find books that way.
